Re: [RC] [RC] Running, OT - April

Check out http://www.runnersworld.com for some tips on breathing, form and beginner workouts. Think about investing in a nice HRM (The Forerunner 305s are nice and you can use it on your horse later ;)) and don't over do it.

Make sure you're stretching out those calf muscles really well after an easy warm-up and again after a cool-down. I'm no expert. I dabble in walk/run intervals, but I've had the calf muscle thing!

Above all, if you have doubts, check with your doctor. I am not one nor do I play one on tv. I do aspire to stay at a Holiday Inn Express one day, though.

Hello everyone!  I'm trying to get myself back in shape for riding and have started jogging/running for the first time in my life – it actually isn't as terrible as I kept telling myself it was!  Do any of you women keep fit this way?  I could really use some advice on keeping myself going.  Please reply privately – I'd really hate to be the one to restart the "for ladies only" thread!  Thanks!
