Re: [RC] Rectal Hydration Therapy (was: Big Horn Death) - Steven Proe

Hi Folks;
If my memory is correct it also happened on a Tevis ride (after the Finish) and somehow was hushed up in my opinion.

When the person that performed this method was observed duing this potentially Dangerous action as you can rupture the colan lining.

This could cause many problems.

As I recall the person was very Wealthy and threated to Sue the ride if they were punished.

As with many rides, it what is not know by many that endangers our friends and companions.

bye for now
Steven

My guess is that she shoved a hose up the horse's ass.  I have only
heard of it on one other occasion.  On the last day at Death Valley in
2000 (I think, it may have been 2001), a rider did this to a horse just
after the finish.  It was a subject of a protest.

However, it is just a guess.
