Re: [RC] OD meeting - steelsidedown

The folks this REALLY effected were the ones that got to a vet check just minutues before the cut off time.  They had to have their pulse down by the pre-set time the "hold closed".  There were only a very few riders that came in that window.  (I'm not talking about the 12 hour AERC rule, but at OD the management sets a time each hold will close.  i.e. The last vet check on the 50 closed/pulse down by at 5:30pm, add your 20 min hold, out time 5:50pm, which gave you an hour and ten mins to ride the last 4.6 miles to the finish)

While it hurts your "out time" if running top ten ... these guys got pulled for overtime .... and some were down.... there just wasn't enough pulse takers to help them.  (I watched this at two different checks)
