[RC] WEC2008 Quals - Nik Isahak Abdullah

If I am moving my horses from Malaysia to ride/race in say a' milder ' climate{cool and dry ] like Dubai in december I would fly in taday ,rest tomorrow to settle the kinks of travel and race the next day .This in order not to let my horses superior evaporative capability and ability to withstand the stresses of heat and humidity ,acclimatise to the milder local conditions .On the other hand if I am moving on to a hersher condition like from LA in november to Kuala Lumpur ,Malaysia ,Steph is right that 2 weeks is about optimal for the horses to acclimtise .This is with the proviso the US horses are already at their peak performance ,that 2 weeks represent the typical T.I ivers peakdown or scaledown in activity .
JMGF .Just my gut feeling .
Dont be unduly worried about horses and riders not prepared having" crashes".These unprepared speed demons would be weeded out by phase or at the most 3 ,going by our previous experience .We unofficially define speed demons here as someone going beyond 15 kph average beyond phase 1 .That coincidentally is the new CoC.
