RE: [RC] [RC] Cashel Saddle - Chris Paus

There is a bareback saddle that is much better IMHO than the cashel.

It's the LIttleJoe bareback saddle. It's made of good quality leather instead of foam and is filled with a nice cushy fiber fill. It stays where you put it. I've ridden up and down really steep hills with no breast collar or crupper. I've ridden out spooks and bucks. Ridden at all gaits and feel very secure in this. I've done a 30 mile LD in it and my horse's back was fabulous at the end of the ride. I do use a skito pad under it or something similar.

I like it so much, I have two. One is plain for quick tack ups and riding. The other is all fixed up for distance riding with extra cushioning, cantle pack, etc.

Here's my LJ all rigged up for trail riding.
