Steph rode at Teregganu with leather stirrup leathers and shorted them 2 HOLES after the second loop(of course that means they were two holes longer than when she started). A comment on the weight she was putting on the stirrup (riding in the dark on a good horse in the heat and humidity and rain:) -- make adjustments during competitions when needed i if un-comfort sets in.:)

Those are just the ones who don't shorten their stirrups for competition and are trying to reach them!

I actually lengthen my stirrups for competition. Short stirrups make
for sore knees. They are two holes shorter for jumping (and even then,
they are a bit longer than most people jump with) and one hole shorter
for dressage.
