Is administering them with crushed Tums/Mylanta enough to protect the stomach? Does that then impede elyte absorption? What if they irritate the stomach which causes the horse to stop eating/drinking? That's bad too.... I admit I'm electrolyte shy having had a mare who did not do well with them. But as a runner I understand their value. Does it all boil down
