Um, keep in mind that there are more common causes for horizontal lines in hooves than excess selenium--in our sport, the most common cause is concussion.  There are many horses on whose hooves you can literally "read" their ride schedules because of the horizontal lines/separations...

For instance, I see people putting
selenium into their horses from many different sources, but selenium is
toxic in large amounts! I've seen more than one horse with the horizontal
separations on their hooves from overdosing selenium.
