[RC] An "Epic" Problem - Dream Weaver

Something must have changed, or else there was some irritation from the 75 miles a week before that chose to show up later maybe? Are you using the boots over shoes? There are a few things that I can think of that might have contributed - without knowing firsthand all the details I can only guess. Was the vetwrap different? I've found different colors can bleed (I stick with the same brand in black for that reason). Were the boots and gaiters as clean both times? What were the trail and camp conditions like? Did one ride have more water crossings, mud or other differences? How far into the shoeing or trimming period was your horse for both of these rides - hoof growth could have affected the fit. If you could send me some photos of the areas that were rubbed I might be able to help more. Once we determine the cause we can usually find a solution that will work. Karen P.S. I'm always adding more tips and info on using boots on my blog: http://easycareinc.typepad.com/karen/
