i would suggest that is knife has a serrated blade on it. as a smooth
blade may not cut "rope". with a serrated blade, it'll be like hot
steel in butter. the best gift my hubby ever gave me was a top of the
line serrated blade knife that is small enough to carry in my cashel
ankle safe.

i have used it twice now, to save horses (other folk's horses)  worth
every penny!  a leatherman tool is also a good investment. raven
