Re: [RC] Splints - Don HustonYes I saw that write-up, what a great team and now you have given us "the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey used to say. Thanks for an encouraging outcome, I ordered xrays for next week. Rock had a big splint when he started endurance at 5 ? years old. He did several rides with it, then after a while started being a bit lame on that leg at times. The splint was several years old. We got it x-rayed and it turned out there was a loose piece that was shifting and rubbing the ligament or whatever. He had surgery when he was 8 maybe? and the vet removed it. I would have thought it would have been flatter after that but it got *bigger*. He had to wear a boot over it but it caused no other problems. He did a few rides here and there, was sold a couple of times as one owner got divorced, the next went to college, then Josie Whelen got him and he's tearing up the trails at 17. :-) Don Huston <donhuston@xxxxxxx> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
