David is right that different sized tires on the same axle can cause problems but your tires are only 1.2 inches different or only 4%. You should measure the tires (sideways, not from the pavement up) just to make sure because each manufacturer is a little different. With only a 4% difference in size I would not worry about using the spare to get home even if it's 500 miles but then definitely get the r&r'd 265 back on.
