[RC] RC: skunk solutions for the brave ;0) - L ginGet thee to the nearest Home depot or Feed store and get a small animal trap. Put some food scraps in the trap and set near the opening under the house. Should catch it within a day or so. Course, then SOMEONE has to kill it or move the trap. Maybe if there is any kind of animal control , they might come pick it up and release it. If not......... Weeeeeeeeeeeel , get creative. Maybe you can find a local cowboy to rope the trap and pull it far enough away from the house. Actually, attach the rope, before you set the trap....tie it to your trucks bumper..... when said skunk enters trap, run to the truck and get in and tear off down the road.....have your husband ...or a local hunter/cowboy ;0) lay in the bed of the truck with a large knife and cut the rope as you drive, thereby keeping the smell behind you. (course you have to sacrifice the trap.)They are only 39$ .;0) Method #2 --Entice local stray dog with smelly food scraps... throw steak under the house in dogs sight. Dog runs under house, scaring skunk out, --this could be somewhat smelly...... Method #3--Probably the best idea (Im' rather beat tonight, was pulling down vines all day )---- GET some SMOKE BOMBS, Or for that matter bug bombs, they have a nice hissing sound. Throw under house and run (RUN, Forest, RUN)............. (or firecrackers for that matter) This too may be smelly....................... After skunk removal ---Make sure you close off under your house tightly, unless you like varmits , snakes, etc. Our house is new and has screens and a door, but still.........I put moth balls under it, along the foundation--However Don't put 5 boxes like I did...;o).........even if your house is new and they foamed all the holes, you will still smell the 5 BOXES of mothballs for weeks.(but no bugs or varmits ;0) Maybe just a box or two ;0) --- I also put a few where I hang my horse blankets outside (barn still being built--and I put a tarp over them to cover thema nd dont' want snakes or critters to take shelter under them, surprising me one day)--and I put a couple under some new bushes I planted to keep mice and bugs and deer away.......... _________________________________________________________________ The MSN Entertainment Guide to Golden Globes is here.
