Oh yes!  Or gotten it soaking wet and crumbling and
unreadable.

Approaching the vet one day at a ride, I produced
my soggy, crumpled vet card and apologized for its
state and the vet replied cheerfully "Oh, don't worry,
I've been checking anal tones all day...".  :)

I do try and carry the vet card in a ziploc baggy
so that it doesn't soak up every drop of water
that gets thrown all over me n' the pone, but
by the end of the ride the ziploc usually looks
like it has been eaten by rats.

One time (during Tevis, I think?) a mother and jr
daughter team were riding together. One of them got
pulled and the other continued. Of course, during
the separation, they ended up with each other's
vet cards. :)  We were trying to figure out how to
reunite rider with card, but it was a lost cause.
(I have to say at this point that when I was getting
ready to try and do Tevis a few years ago [didn't
work out], I would frequently have nightmares about
[amongst other things <g>] arriving at a vet check
sans vet card...)

Only if you're riding FEI <dar>

:))
