too much "angst", i think.     i think you should take your husband's suggestion and your own advice.   if ya'll want to ride, sell the horses that you cant ride, the ones that have issues and get some horses that are ready to ride.   training, and training right can be a tough, time consuming job.   most people who want to do recreational riding dont really have the time to train a horse.   i think you have piled too much on yourself.  get out from under some of it.   horse stuff should be more fun.              cowboy ed
