[RC] One Way to Endure - frank solanoI know that with the passage of time, some holidays seem to lose the flavor of what they once were for us. I feel it every year I live. I miss my family. My little boys, my mother, my father, my brothers. I know you feel it, too.
Just when I start to give up on a holiday, I find that some little feeling slides inside of me. I don't know where it comes from...maybe a memory when I was a boy, maybe a hopeful expectation of a man getting older, who knows. But, it comes and I find that I'll turn on the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade and hopefully, if I'm not checking the oven, I'll get to see Santa riding in his float.
It must be Hope.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving. If not in the actual celebration of the day, perhaps in your heart where time does not exist, loss does not live forever and Love and Hope are the senior residents and seem to be in good health.
