RE: [RC] Cost of horses - Fay Kelley

My board is $300 per month ... I spend about $100 on HoofRite, supplements, treats, etc., miscellaneous stuff. Average overall about $100 a month on tack, trailering, etc Average for the year comes to $50 month for vet, etc.,

I have not included the cost of the deisel truck
and horse trailer with living quarters that I
plan to buy.

So we are looking at approximately $500 - $600 to keep
a horse in AZ .... my horse has real meadow grass
with a pond next to the meadow
as much as I can turn him out and all the hay he
can eat .... they are very generous with hay at
MCS Stables in Flagstaff.
