[RC] Coming off & Using Helmets - Vchorsegal

I actually had a local gal tell me it was a good thing she wasn't  wearing a helmet when a motorcycle spooked her Quarter horse on pavement & she smashed her head on the street.  Her response was that she "went out like a light" instead of staying coherent ( & with less head trauma I would think. ) She honestly believed it was the best way to go ! She was pretty touch & go for several weeks.  I used to hire her to haul horses , as she did this as part of her living, and I now wouldn't feel comfortable with her decision making cells !  BTW- The horse was known to be a problem waiting to happen, not a solid trail mount.  I always wear a helmet to protect my brain cells- both of them !  Be Safe !
