This may be true for Endurance and other major shows, but have you ever gone to a barrel/pole competition?  I have been to a few here and there in Ohio.  Never once did I see them even ask to see health papers or neg. coggins for out of state horses let alone keep copies of anything!  Simply write your name, your horses name on the competition you want to sign up for and pay your money.  That's it!  Any rides I've attended or competitions of any kind, I've always taken the originals and copies with me, no one has ever asked for copies or even to see my papers.

yes..that's correct. right now, any organized group that sponsers a
horse event is required to keep copies of coggins on hand. like i
said, i have no problem with doing this. <;] raven
