RE: [RC] Easyboot Epic or Bare - Karen Standefer

You can rasp the correct breakover placement into the bottom of the boot
(then remember to mark that boot for the proper hoof......I know this from
experience <g>). You'll just have to try to see if it works for your horse.
Whether or not your horse needs the extra rasping is a completely individual
thing. Some horses will just wear the boots that way and they're fine until
it happens. Others will need the extra help of you doing it for them
initially. Personally, I had to rasp the bottom of the front boots for both
my horses. I would just do it in the beginning and not wait for him to tell
you that he needs it done.

Subject: [RC] Easyboot Epic or Bare

I have a horse that I want to start using either the Easyboot Epic's or
Bares. Preferrable the Bares as I would like to get him out of shoes all
together.
The only issue is that when he travels his left front foot breaks over to
the outside. It is a genetic bone structure issue, verified with XRays.
With the new roll on the easy boots is that going to hinder his way of
moving? I've had him shod in Natural Balance horse shoes and they made him
lame, but once he was changed to Eventers he's been sound and has done over
400 miles since without incidence.

Does anyone have any experience with this????

Thank You
Liz Masters
