I would also be
careful because some Quarter horses tend to be a bit downhill, which makes it
a bit harder for them to lift the forehand and use the
hindquarters.
*to me, this is a huge flaw with the breed (not
the only problem they have by far)..but to make this endurance related, as it
also applies to Arabs that are croup-high....the downhill build, to me, is a
huge fault with just about ANY riding horse as the saddle tends to slide into
the shoulders....hard to fit, uncomfortable to ride, etc.
*Oddly enough, in the awful conformation photos
in West Coast Horseman....you see far more paint horses with that extreme high
rump than QH's.....
