Lucinda asked about the Arabian Saddle Co. Solstice. I had a limited
experience with one, and will share. I have a couple very wide backed boys.
The Solstice has some wide widths, and I found one used. I rode it with my
Impression Pad, and found it had a really nice weight distribution, no
pressure points. (Hwt rider) The craftsmanship is first rate. The saddles
are made by Lovatt & Ricketts which have been making english saddles for
decades.  I had no problems with the saddle except the leg position that it
put me in was not good for me. It gave me more of a dressage position, which
in turn, gave me hip pain. Something I had never had before. They have some
other models, that do not give that type of positioning, and I may look into
them when I need to go saddle shopping again. Beverly Gray is a distributor,
and she is so nice to work with. In fact, she helped me resell the saddle
when it did not work out, even though I had bought it from a private party.
