[RC] re: Marci's story - Cindy CollinsGreat job and exactly what most of us "old timers" would do. I agree with everything you said. I tend to start with a slow 50 miler, not LD, just because I hate spending the money on LD, but that's just a personal preference. AND, just for the record (as you know), your mare Fire Mt Torch's very first ride WAS a 100 miler. She never did LD or even a 50 miler. That was in 1992 and her career continued until 2002 with only one pull that I know about. Guess she's a perfect example of what I've been trying to say. Thanks for sharing.
