Re: [RC] yellow jackets - Barbara McCrary

Back to eliminating yellowjackets, you DON'T have to set gasoline or diesel afire. The fumes do the job nicely. My husband is an expert yellowjacket eliminator and all he uses is gasoline. If the nest is a hanging one, he holds a small pan of gasoline under the nest and lets it soak up the paper nest. The fumes will do it!

Pour diesel down the hole, not gasoline. It burns like mad and for a nice long time and it doesn’t explode like gas. You can just stand there and view the destruction.

Been there done that, and have burned more than I would ever admit with diesel during farm clearing. Diesel will explode if contained in a hole under the right circumstances. Think of a tiny amount of gun powder wrapped up in a small amount of paper.= firecracker!
