RE: [RC] Awaiting USEF announcements - Kristen A Fisher

WEG [World Equestrian Games] only happens every 4 years. In 2010 it is in
KY, USA. Let's hope we get this issue sorted by then so we can really take
advantage of our home court.

WEC [World Endurance Championships] may be every 2 years, and it seems the
same principles would apply, although I am not sure of the USEF role in WEC
if any.

The announcement about the training center,  year round 
facility, vet labs, coaches etc, are all great ideas for 
helping us develop a more cohesive team and improve riding 
skills etc.in the future.  BUT this do not answering the 
question that everyone wants answered.  WHY did they fire Tom 
Johnson so close to the most important international ride 
that happens only every two years. It sounds like the riders 
liked him, from the information that is going around.  What a 
disruptive thing to do so close in. It would have seemed more 
prudent to stay the course until after the games, if that is 
what the riders had wanted.  To me, it should have been their 
( riders) decision this close in, and then it could have been 
dealt with after the competition.  Timing is everything.......
