When our horses were struck, they were
about 50 feet from our hay barn and not under trees, nor in the middle of a
field, nor next to a fence. Why those three out of the herd? The
only thing we could come up with was they were the shortest
and fattest. They were also barefoot. It was also very dry..no
rain before the storm, so they could have been the biggest water source to
conduct the charge.
