The Ridgeway standard...a 35mm film cannister, which is 2 TBSP. I have never double dosed. If I was using acommercial product and giving it four times in 50 miles I'd probably only givehalf of what they call one dose each time. Then if he showed signs of needing more than that, I'd consider upping it on the next ride. "signs of needing more than that" are what in your opinion? I have considered taking the advice to put some electrolytes in the feed...but then I remember why I quit that...it cut down on the amount my horse ate. He ate much better with no additives in it, then I could dose afterwards, and the dosing didn't seem to bother him at all. I really do not like putting a lot of junk in the feed. I have watched those who do, and my horse eats better in my opinion. I'll give it some thought.
