Re: [RC] water tank flow - Sisu West Ranch

Farm stores normally sell large diameter plastic fittings, and large diameter hose. and large diameter valves. Purchase enough stuff to run the hose and valve to the end of the tailgate. My 100 gal tank can use inch and a half fittings and hose. The water will fill a bucket in less than a minute.

If you live in a cold climate, make sure all the fittings are plastic. If you put metal fittings into a plastic tank, come winter the plastic shrinks more than the metal, becomes stressed, cracks and you need to buy a new tank.

Some folk save money by reducing to garden hose size. You will then have very slow water flow.
