RE: [RC] water tank flow - Jim Holland

Go to NORTHERN and buy a 12 volt demand pump. Mount it to the top of the
tank with the inlet to the plug at the bottom of the tank. Plastic fittings
and hose from Home Depot. Put a horse trailer plug on the end of the power
wire. Unplug your trailer, plug in the pump wire. You only need two
wires...hot wire and ground. Attach a short length of hose to the output of
the pump, add a nozzle and spray away just like home. Less than $100 for all
of it. Great for vet checks where you can get to your truck and to wash
your horse at the end of the ride. Add a Zodi propane heat exchanger and you
can have HOT pressure water. I showered with this setup for years. In fact,
I appeared "taking a shower" on the "parting shots" back cover of EN in the
February-March issue in 1994. <blush> Betcha I'm the only one to ever appear
on the back AND the front cover of EN! <grin>

Subject: [RC] water tank flow

Need some advise on my newly purchased 65 gallon water tank. I purchased it
for the back of my pick-up, and need advise on the best method to get a good
flow out to fill buckets, etc. The hole for a spigot is so low, I got a
spigot they sold me, but it'd have to be turned sidewards so as to be able
to turn it on and off with a hose attached. What do others do? Thanks, Randi
