Re: [RC] Speed w/ Holds - Truman Prevatt

I haven't looked at the data for a long time, but what I remember of it was there was a fairly significant spread of speeds. Most of the rides that were faster I believe have at least two checks - not one, but again it's been a couple of years. From the rides I have done in the semi-arid west compared to the rides in the soggy east, it seems that I do go faster in the west. I've done 20 mile loops in the west that I swear were not 20 miles from my ride time and how I rode them. However, it might have been from the lack of humidity working on my brain.

The other things with holds is I'm still new to the sport and not very effecient yet! =) I never seem to get out at the exact "Out" time, and take at least a few minutes to get pulsed in usually (water, drink, sponge, pull tack if needed, etc). So from my (limited) experience, I would strongly venture that more holds has a definate LONGER affect on my ride time.
~ Crysta & Sinatra, if you can't be fast, you might as well look good! =)
