WOW was that loud. He wasn't firing as we rode down to the range, but waited until we were nice and close. I jumped, Phlyrt jumped, and then she ignored every shot after that. I was quite proud of her. Actually, now that I think about it, that was the second place we encountered guns on that particular ride of yours... There were also some guys out in the "middle of nowhere" shooting trash or whatever with rifles or shotguns (sorry, I didn't stop to look). Phlyrt never even noticed them. :) Now that I'm up in huntin' country, we hear gunfire all the time. Nothing too close, luckily, because I have no great interest in holes in either myself or my horses. ~Nicole (another one not carrying a weapon while riding...
