Re: [RC] Lady's Gun - Lynne Glazer

Dang, you do have a big hand, Lee! I owned that .45 for several years, had it Parkerized to match the military finish, but it was always too big for my hand. Had one as my official weapon when a company commander, could qualify with it fine but love the choice of smaller framed weapons now.

There's a private gun range we ride by, but they're firing all sorts of home-loads that are super-loud plus shotguns, so far Q is not keen on the idea of being close to it. :-)

I also used .38s in my .357, and for practice .38 wadcutters. Cheaper, but it did score my chambers a little because I used to shoot a lot. Aftermarket Pachmayr grips made it comfortable for a small hand. I'd like long fingers in my next life, to be able to bridge over the balls better while playing pool, LOL.

back to packing for DVE (the "conventional" packing, that is)

My gun of choice is a Colt 45 Combat Commander - or a Ruger Security Six .357 loaded with 38 rounds (but I have a large hand and long fingers). For carrying about and in the car I have a neat little stainless snub nose 38 - nice little gun that is just big enough to be intimidating.
