Re: [RC] Analyzing Home Made Electrolytes. - rides2farSo that's how many tablespoons? All I know is I think Ed told me if I'm balancing the sodium & potassium there's nothing I can do to change the chloride so I shall never think of it again. :-) This was actually a last minute extra credit project for Josie's Chemistry class. They had to find a way to use chemistry in every day life. Since the label on the canister says one serving is 1/4 tsp and there's 650 mg of potassium in a serving, I went from there. My 35 mm cannister that I use for a scoop held 4 tsp of the salt/potassium mixture and 1 1/2 tsp ground tums. It didn't *quite* fill it to the top but was close and the numbers looked good to me so from now on maybe I'll just fill it to about 1/8 " from the top. By the way, rather than switch to equal parts salt and "No Salt" (which is pretty expensive) I found that 1 tsp salt and 3 tsp Morton Lite Salt does the same thing Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
