[RC] [RC] The Little Horse that Would - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Your story reminds me of a little pony I know of. The owner got
him for free, and he was just a pasture ornament previously. I am
not sure how high he is exactly, but he comes up to about my arm-
pit and I am 4'11''. No one had thought such a little pony would
be good for much, but the new owner's little 5 year old daughter
decided to ride him in gymkhanna. By the time she outgrew him,
she had won 1 or 2 saddles and cash prizes from him running
barrels and other activities. He is a feisty little bugger; when
I ride my stallion by him, he always squeals and strikes out with
one hoof. The heart is sometimes the biggest part of all with our horse
companions. I am glad you were able to enjoy riding
your first horse while it lasted, and hope you make just as many
wonderful memories with your new mount.

Lauretta and Shaba (who always gives me everything he's got, and
then some)
