Re: [RC] riding with a camera - TypeF \(Jackie Floyd\)

IMO, you still can't beat a
good old fashioned 35mm with high speed film for action shots. I've been lucky to get some decent shots even at a fast trot, or canter. A vest is a really good way to pack things close at hand, and there are some really cool ones out there, made for sportsman, bikers, etc.

Oddly enough, even though I can't get a good shot on the back of horse while it's moving, I CAN get great pictures off the back of the motorcycle. I have an absolutely stunning shot of Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe taking while sitting behind my husband as he speeded around the hairpin turns. It became an 11x14 signed print last year at Christmas time. The water was just the most gorgeous shade of blue with all the boats parked around the island. It was just an experiment. After that I started shooting stuff every time we took the bike out. Unfortunately, I think that may have amounted to only two times last year!

:) Jackie
