Re: [RC] riding with a camera - rides2far@xxxxxxxx

IMO, you still can't beat a
good old fashioned 35mm with high speed film for action shots. I've
been lucky to get some decent shots even at a fast trot, or canter.

I take lots of videos of sports with a Sony Mini DV camera. I can download the
film onto a Mac G-5 computer and make a jpg off of one frame of film. The
resolution is low so it doesn't touch a 35 mm there...but boy can I get some
great stop action shots. It's great for taking photos of a horse in action...or
even posed. Just moooove that mouse till the ears tip forward or they're at the
biggest poit of their stride and snap. :-) I still don't understand why if I
enlarge the photo to a 5x7 the resolution falls apart...but it still looks
great on my computer wallpaper or if I project it on a 10' screen with an lcd
projector. :-P
