Since the reasons for participating in endurance are many and varied and because the BC award is subjective, why not let folks have the recognition they desire? BC really doesn't impact the outcome of the race or performance points accumulated. Actually IMHO, BC looks like a remnant of the subjective horse show world...a remnant which many chose to avoid when entering the performance horse world of endurance. Anyway, isn't passing the finish line in a "condition fit to continue" the gold standard relative to BC which can be likened to a halter class? Regardless, I think all distances should be treated equally since BC is subjective. Isn't it only examining 10 more horses and making a subjective decision?
