Re: [RC] deadly bicyclist - Jessica Spoone-Raines

I'm not trying to start a controversy over this tragedy. I don't even want to imagine the pain she is going through losing her horse like that but I honestly don't see how it was the mountain bikers fault. I might have read it wrong but it sounded like they met up around a blind corner. He didn't hit her it was her horse that spooked and panicked is all. I don't see how the biker could have prevented this other than creeping along the trail at a very slow pace? I know I wouldn't like to be told that I could never go above a walk when on a trail. A safe speed is one thing but the horse being suprised like that and the ensuing results could happen at any speed I would think?
