Thank you, Peggy, Your post said exactly why LD BC needs to get
itself figured out. And, folks, it's not about the awards; it is the lack of
standardization. The way it is done now makes no sense whatsoever.

I TOTALLY agree with you. I've thought this way all year - I chose
to ride LD's all year to try and get the mileage award, so I ended up riding
in 4 regions and saw all the the different attitudes toward BC for LD.
It DOES need to be standardized, however they choose to
do it - but it MUST happen.
We all need to write to the LD committe and get them to act on this now
and get this mess sorted out. The awards program should be open to ALL
members of the AERC, not just those who happen to attend rides that award AERC
BC for LD's.
