Do you remember going through water deep enough to
be over the hubs of your trailer wheels? Boat trailers loose lots of
bearings because they are run down the highway long enough to get the hubs warm,
then backed into the lake to launch the boat. The cooling of the water
causes a vacuum that sucks water into the bearings.
