Yup. Puke is exactly what they smell like! the blossoms are beautiful, but the overpowering stench ruins it for me! I much prefer dogwoods or forsythia or honeysuckle or dozens of other pretty spring plants that make flowers but don't stink!

Yeah, there's one by the door to my classroom.When it blooms the kids all
think they smell puke and want to know where it's coming from. I'm more
loyal to the dogwoods, but the Bradford Pears bloom early and do give you
the feeling that spring's coming which makes me fond of them. By the
way, there's one by the gate to my field and the horses keep what they
can reach trimmed back nicely.
