Re: [RC] Saddles by Gov't Committee - Barbara McCrary

Darn.....and I have been thinking all along that a saddle with seat belt would be just the answer for keeping me on my horse when he does one of his shy-sideways-at-the-sight-of-a-clump-of-fern maneuvers, thereby leaving me on the ground. You know, the old pull the tablecloth out from under the silverware trick, only I'm the silverware and my horse is the tablecloth. Ouch? But, then again, when your horse threatens to jump off a cliff (fortunately, that's not MY horse) a seatbelt could be a huge detriment to survival.
Oh, dear, what is the solution................Maybe the FTC could solve this problem? ;-))

Or, for safety purposes, an ejection design that would have the rider safely parachuting to earth as the horse falls into a ravine or breaks down on the racetrack.

My horror would be one with a seat belt.
