It sounds like you don't have total faith in your current medical practitioners.  You 
might consider going to a Sports Medicine Department at a facility that caters to 
professional athletes, particularly football and baseball players.  An example would 
be the SMD at Palo Alto Medical Clinic in Palo Alto, CA.
