[RC] Newbie Camping - Suzanne Ticer

I have a two page camping list that I print off of my
computer for every ride. This list includes
everything for horses, humans and dogs; and it does
fill up a truck fast . I will be glad to share it
with anyone. Send me a private email at sbticer at
mail dot utexas dot edu.

When we started endurance riding I tried to use a
tent, but that was just one more thing to pack, set up
and tear down. Now we sleep in the back of our two
horse bumper pull. This keeps us off the ground, away
from fire ants and out of mud if it has been raining.
We unload the horses, pull the mats and place them at
the end of the trailer, and put the cots in. We cover
the trailer with a tarp, for shade, rain and any other
weather. We call it the bow wow shatoe. When we win
the lottery, then I will have one of those fancy 3 or
4 horse trailers with living quarters, until then, we
love roughing it.
