[RC] elbow tendon injury - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I don't have experience with this particular injury, sounds pretty unusual.
However, I do have experience with tendon and ligament injuries in myself as
well as my horses, and the most important part seems to be patience combined
with controlling inflamation. Unless actually torn, the ligament is highly
likely to fully heal, it is just very slow (6 to 18 months) because there is so
little blood flow within these fiberous tissues. And ice or cold hosing is
your most effective way to get rid of inflamation. MOST IMPORTANT: get more
veterinary opinions, especially since this is a somewhat unusual injury. A
call to your nearest veterinary college would be time well spent. Remember,
vets are just people with widely varying degrees of education and experience.

Good luck and don't lose hope - the body's ability to heal is amazing when
provided with a little support and TLC.
