RE: [RC] [RC] for men too! - heidiTell David good for him! Hubby's limit for me was a gallon of milk (8 lbs when full) but otherwise he was likewise a good sport about committing to 6 weeks of doing all my chores. Meant to add to this that I scheduled my surgery about 2 weeks before I had to fly to Dallas, TX, to speak at a symposium. I had cleared that with my doctor beforehand, and while he thought I was nuts, he couldn't see any problem with it, provided I promised not to sling my own luggage into the overhead compartment on the plane. I was sharing the podium with CMK friends Michael Bowling, Rick Synowski, and Kat Walden, and fellow ridecamper Maria Wallis was coordinating the event. I couldn't have had a more solicitous crew, and Rick was even on the last leg of my flight with me. The flight attendants got me a WHEEL CHAIR between flights, if you can believe that... Plumb em-barrassing! <g> But hey, it solved the luggage problem, because they just put it in my lap! Anyway, that solved one long weekend with regard to temptation to do too much at home. Although as it turned out, they did have me do a brief mock-up of a vet check at the symposium--and Bobby Wallis graciously picked up horses' feet for me, bless his heart... ;-) (You Texans all know what sweeties Bobby and Maria are...)
