I prefer to do my own...since we have 4 horses and its a hassle to get them
all to the vet...plus its cheaper.  I have never (knock on wood) had an
abcess and have been doing this for about 6 years now.  For some reason I
can stick the horses and the cattle, but can't stick the dog or the cat so
they have to go to the vet!
