[RC] Injured Riders and Horses - Jonni

Teaching your horse at home that saddles or anything under the belly is
to be accepted is key.<<<

Yep, this can be a great thing to teach your horse. But, at the start of a
ride, with a group of horses taking off down the trail, some at a pretty
good speed I'd guess, added to the tension in the air, I think even the most
broke horse would probably have issues if their rider came off, and the
saddle ended up under its belly.

I'd like to see a few more controlled starts at some rides. Not saying this
ride had issue with that, but it seems some of the rides have must more
intense and "fast" starts than others.  I've seen starts at the beginning of
25's that looked like the Kentucky derby starting gates flying open........
