[RC] CTR vs Endurance -

When I have ridden CTR it is under UMECRA rules, which are some of the least
restrictive in CTR. I still prefer LD. I usually ride at the back of the
pack, so I enjoy being able to pace myself (and get off and walk!) on the AERC
rides. Ironically, I have actually placed better for the season when I was
riding CTR. When I first moved back to Michigan in 1993, there weren't many LD
rides. I think Becke Grams was the only one that had them, then. As the ride
managers heard from LD riders, they have gradually added them, until now every
Endurance ride has LD. Keep asking (politley!) for LD, and maybe a few
managers will start to offer them.
