If most endurance riders really think like this, and
expect others to do so too, no wonder there is the
sterotype among the pleasure riding public that we're
rude speed maniacs. Yes, many of you are in a 'race',
but do you really expect the sea to part just because
you want to go fast? When I need to pass (which isn't
all that often in AERC - in NATRC it was often), I
always wait until the terrain allows, or will alert
the rider ahead that I'd like to pass when trail
conditions allow. I would never expect anyone to just
get the heck out of the way because I was moving
faster than they are. Kristi
